Family clothing, designer label wear as well as books, shoes and accessories are offered at the 5 day mini pop-up shop.
Many keen shoppers know the value of getting in early, and attend an opening night on May 18 to enjoy the first look over the selection of affordable recycled clothes, while being served a light supper.Tickets for opening night are sought after, with limited availability at just $10 each.
Seasonal pop-up shops bring in much needed funds for the team to assist with major competitions, both nationally and internationally. The team needs over $30,000 to continue to train year-round, and compete, offering an opportunity for all keen survivor women to paddle, no matter what their financial circumstances.

For information and tickets see CanSurvive Dragon Boat Team on Facebook, or email us.

CanSurvive 2.0

http://www.cansurvive.co.nz/blog/cansurvive-20

http://www.cansurvive.co.nz/blog/cansurvive-20#comments

Uncategorized

Come and Have a Go! Join us on the water, have a go at dragon boating, make some friends, enjoy a great morning tea and think about joining our social team, CanSurvive 2.0. Just come for some exercise on the water and learn about the supportive environment that a BC dragon boat team provides.

CanSurvive, Wellington's dragon boat team of breast cancer survivors, are now establishing a second team for those people that want more emphasis on fun, friendship, and socialising rather than all out competition. Because of the limited numbers of BC paddlers we have decided to open this up to all who would like to paddle for such a team. All ages, shapes and sizes welcome, just come along and try it out - Bring some friends too!

The paddlers in our current team are highly competitive and train hard for national and international success. We do however recognize that we have aging paddlers core to the team we aren't prepared to simply let go. When they feel no longer able to maintain the rigors of competition and training we have decided to provide a slightly less vigorous option, introducing CanSurvive 2.0.

CanSurvive 2.0 is about adapting to the needs of the team when they can no longer be fully competitive and to make it less intimidating for new paddlers. We say not “fully” competitive because they will still participate in local and regional regattas as they choose so the competition element will still be alive and well!

Have a go days
9.30-11am

July 5th
August 2nd
September 13th

CanSurvive will provide boats, instructors, life jackets, paddles, afternoon tea and smiles.
