Introducing CanSurvive's Second Team - CAN2
With so much interest and support of our achievements, we knew there were women out there who wanted to try dragon boating in the encouraging, positive environment that CanSurvive provides. Recognising that many of them were not able to commit to the demanding training and competition schedule of our current CanSurvive team, we created a flexible alternative.
In 2015 CanSurvive established a second team, Can2, for those who wanted more emphasis on fun, friendship, and socialising rather than all-out competition. Can2 is not limited to breast cancer paddlers, and is a great way to get our supporters on the water too.
Can2 is a great training ground and a little less intimidating for new paddlers! While not “fully” competitive, Can2 still participate in local and regional regattas so the competition element will still be alive and well!
