In Breast Cancer Awareness Month - October 2016 -  two sisters, Johanna and Brittany (daughters of CanSurvive team member Bette Cosgrove) designed a cool art shirt showing the scars of breast cancer treatment, modeled on their mum’s breast cancer surgery.

Within a few days people around the world had responded to their Instagram post, and both women and men wanted to wear them and share the message. So NopeSisters Clothing was born. A couple months of Brittany’s frantic hand sewing, Johanna taking orders and posting, had seen over 100 black or white Mastectotee shirts sent around the world. By Christmas the Nopesisters had made a $220 donation to CanSurvive. Men and women from UK to USA were all wearing them.

The nopesisters donate 10%  of the profit from every Tee sold to CanSurvive Dragonboat Team, to support their goal to reach Italy competing against the world’s teams in 2018. These sassy women fight the odds, survive and thrive to support breast cancer sufferers towards fun and fitness following their challenging journey of treatment.
The sisters have the same bold attitude as the members of this team and they wanted to make art shirts with a purpose.
Each Tee has been designed to fit a real body, and lovingly hand embroidered. Mastectotees make a brave statement, outwardly showing the internal scars every breast cancer sufferer wears on the inside.
